This app is built almost entirely on public data. Every source and its licence is listed here.
Land Transport Authority
Station codes and names, station exits, first and last train times, how many people tap in and out, real-time platform crowding, service alerts and lift maintenance. Journey distances come from LTA's fare calculator. A train time past midnight belongs to the evening before it, which is how the timetable itself is written. Contains information from LTA accessed via data.gov.sg and LTA DataMall, made available under the Singapore Open Data Licence.
Public Transport Council
Fares are worked out from the PTC's published distance-based fare table for MRT and LRT, effective 27 December 2025. Eight station pairs carry a small discount the PTC kept from its 2016 fare review, which the PTC confirmed to us in September 2026. The PTC sets fares; we only look them up, and a fare shown here is our reading of the published table rather than a quotation from the fare system.
OpenStreetMap
Landmarks near each exit are derived from OpenStreetMap data, © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). Our derived landmark dataset is likewise available under ODbL. Distances are straight-line, not walking routes.
Wikipedia and Wikidata
Station opening dates, descriptions, depths and rolling-stock figures. Text from Wikipedia is used under CC BY-SA 4.0; Wikidata is CC0. Each station page links to the article it drew from.
Translations
Interface text was written by hand. Station descriptions were machine translated and are labelled as such wherever they appear. None of the translations have been reviewed by native speakers yet.
Fonts
Press Start 2P and Inter, both under the SIL Open Font Licence, self-hosted rather than loaded from a third party.
